Central Western Umpires is an organization of officials dedicated to serving female fast pitch softball in Western NY. Officials cover all levels of High School Softball in the Rochester NY area, encompassing 50 high schools in two counties. Central Western is a charter member of the State of New York High School Softball Official's organization. All officials are registered with the New York State Public High School Organization and are fingerprinted and certified by the New York State Education Department for High School player involvement. Officials attend yearly rule interpretation clinics and must attain passing scores on statewide proficiency exams. Central Western officials are rated highly amongst all officials in New York State. Professionalism is shown through rule knowledge, proper uniform and abililty to manage all levels of competition. The goal of Central Western is to provide professional level officials to our member schools and to our most important customers, the student athletes. Our pride in performance is easily observed.
